Brief introduction
Ion exchange resins are increasingly being used in hydrometallurgical applications to recover or purify metal solutions and slurries,, it can enrich  the adsorbed metal ions from the dilute solution by ion exchange reaction and different selectivity for mixed metal ions . Ion exchange resins are particularly suitable for extracting separated metals from low grade minerals and tailings leaching or slurry, it plays an important role in separating metals with similar properties.

Ion exchange resins are used in the extraction of various metals, including rare metals and precious metals ,etc. For uranium extraction, uranyl sulphate complex is extracted from the acidic leachate of ISL; for gold extraction, it can be used for thiosulfuric acid, cyanide, and gold chloride extraction; for precious metals, platinum metal platinum and palladium are extracted; In the industry, helium and molybdenum can be recovered from sulfuric acid solutions produced from molybdenum and copper, and molybdenum can be recovered from the process of extracting molybdenum from nitric acid. In copper and nickel industries, it is used for bivalent transition from ore, electroplating, acid bath, and wastewater extraction. Metals such as copper, nickel, zinc, cadmium, etc.; vanadium and niobium industry, extracting vanadium and niobium; rare earth elements in the rare earth industry, such as antimony, uranium, thorium, etc.
